Basic Trainer, USA, 1934
[Technical Data] [Expo/Images] - [
Boeing Stearman]
[
Trainer 1919-1938]

|
|
Description: |

The Stearman was one of the standard trainers
of the US Army Air Corps in the 30ies.
Together with the Boeing-trainers some Ryans
and others were in service too. The Kaydet
came with 3 different engines: The PT13 with
Lycoming, the PT17 with Continental and the
PT18 with Jacobs engines. Today the Stearman
with its pre-war color scheme (blue fuselage,
yellow wings) may still be seen on various
airshows.
