The Libelle is a small flying boat, which was in use
in wide areas rich of water. So it Libellen were sold
to Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and the Fiji
islands.

The Do 24 was the most successful flying boat in
germany. During WW II it was in use for long range
reconnaissance, search and rescue and transport. Do
24 were build in germany, the netherlands an france.
Some were in service long after the war. During the
80ies Dornier build the Model ATT.

The Do 335 had 2 engines, one in front and one aft.
That gave the Pfeil the aerodynamics of a single-
engine fighter, but the performance of two engines.
So the Do 335 was (and is) the fastest industrial-
build piston engine driven aircraft ever.

The Do27 was the first aircraft to be build in west
germany after the war. The concept was the same as
with the Fieseler Storch. the Do27 was known in civil
use as well as military, so was it used for safaris
in africa. 628 were build.

The Do 31 was designed as a tactical transport
aircraft with VTOL capabilities. The construction
did work, but the project was grounded later.

a familiy of modern civil commuter aircraft has been

The Do 132 was layed out as a medium helicopter with
turbine driven reaction drive. This anti-torque free
propulsion made the rear rotor obsolete and improved
flight and maintenance characteristics. The Do 132
was not devolped further.
